Why the dietary supplements are necessary?
The food that we eat is losing its nutritive value. the way it’s grown, the way its transported, and the way we store it and cook it.
unless you are buying your produce from a local farmers market and taking every precaution to store it effectively and consume it by cooking on medium heat and obviously not overcooking it, there is almost a loss of close to 50-70% loss of nutrients in your food. This is true only in the case of people who actually consume healthy foods. But this is far from the reality.
60% of calories come from processed foods. factory foods are highly processed and offer very little or no nutritive value. It’s very simple. The companies that manufacture these processed and fast foods rely on taste and convenience and obviously on how much profits they’ll earn by the end of the day.
Another factor is time When we have a short time then a protein smoothie is really a booting factor in your diet, This is a liquid meal that gives approx. 1000 calories and all the nutrition that human bodies need. Cold-pressed and grass-fed whey protein, raw cow’s milk, blueberries, cold-pressed coconut oil, a medium avocado, banana. and it tastes like liquid ice cream.
You see, consuming enough protein to support my goal is possible with food alone, especially when someone is consuming meat every day. Whey protein mostly adds the convenience factor and sweet cravings are completely satisfied with this. Having said that, so many of my vegetarian and vegan friends have a super tough time getting a daily quota of protein, that includes protein powders and bars becomes a necessity which I will cover in module 2. What are our fitness goals?
Supplements have the potential to optimize our health like fat loss supplements, muscle-building supplements, performance base supplements, multivitamin supplements, and immune support. Digestive health, heart health, liver health, bone and joint health.
How do I choose my supplements?
Quality comes first and by trusting certain doctors and health experts. Read the labels of the supplements. I will write in my next blog about how to select a supplement category for e.g if the supplement is whey protein then it should be from a grass-fed cow, cold-pressed manufacturing process, etc.
